Seminars

Rearing turkeys involves a great deal of specific in-depth knowledge. We put on specialist seminars lasting several days so we can pass on our own expertise and create platforms to allow for practical discussions. Our seminars are recognised by a number of bodies as training courses.

Held over several days, our 'Basics' turkey seminar is aimed at people who are new to the business as well as experienced operations managers and farm staff. The topics covered include the following:

• Hatchery inspection
• The theory and practice behind preparing a rearing barn
• The theory and practice behind turkey diseases
• Aspects of management and keeping
• Technology in turkey farming
• Cleaning and disinfection
• Loading and transportation of turkeys going to slaughter

Alongside evidence of the completed training and a certificate, participants will return home with lots of new ideas and knowledge.
